Plating MQD Associate

Location:

Alajuela, Costa Rica

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in the monitoring and improving overall company quality, specifically supporting in-process plating production inspections.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the training and monitoring of Production plating operators on specific quality concerns, and also assist to document verification of corrective actions.
• Report and communicate directly with Production plating operators and managers on all quality findings and concerns for corrective measures.
• Request revisions to prints, routings, work instructions, tooling list etc to improve, clarify, or correct processes.
• Work directly with Plating Process Engineering on recommended Process improvements to improve overall repeatability and quality.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complete directed in-process inspections of specific orders, part numbers or process as determined by Quality Department. Inspect to established product print and specifications.
• Verify proper procedures, processes, data collection, and tools are being followed on existing products and / or services.
• Document all findings using the QP system, IPA system, or other accepted methods.
• Any other responsibility as requested by management

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• Print reading skills, Data analysis, Problem solving skills, Manufacturing and Quality background helpful
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Must be able to travel to the United States for an 8 week period for initial training, additional annual trips may also be required

EDUCATION:

• Quality, Industrial Engineering, or related field
