The newly acquired Optical Group develops and manufactures an advanced line of extremely high speed (40Gb/s and up) optical computer interconnect solutions, including Active Optical Cables, On-board Transceivers and Optical Engines.
Product Application Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
We are looking for a factory application engineer to coordinate field support, product variant definition/documentation and production for our rapidly growing sales. In particular, we want to expand our ability to efficiently support customization of our products, which requires in-depth technical understanding, good customer communication, technical documentation skills and coordination with engineering and production.
The successful candidate will:
- provide factory product and technical support for field sale and customers
- coordinate development of customized solutions, including specification, documentation, costing and support.
- coordinate production, supply and engineering for custom solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- an engineering background in high-speed fiber optics communications
- able to generate technical documentation
- excellent oral and written communication style
- be an efficient planner and organizer
- have a good understanding of supply and production
- work well within a multi-disciplinary team
The ideal candidate will have several years of technical expertise. The candidate's education should include an BS in Electrical Engineering, Opto-electronics, Opto-mechanics or a related field.
