has expanded its Micro Card socket line with the introduction of surface
mount 0,635mm (.025”)
pitch interfaces (MEC6
Series) available in both right-angle and vertical
orientations. These sockets have a double row of Phosphor Bronze
contacts to mate with standard double-sided (1,6mm) .062” thick
cards.
Seven standard sizes
are available with vertical orientation, and 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50
I/Os per side non-polarized and with 50, 60, and 70 I/Os per side with
a keying feature to assure proper card insertion. Five
right-angle styles are available with 10 through 40 I/Os non-polarized
and 50 I/Os per row with the keying feature.
These high density
interfaces require minimal board area. For
example, 80 I/Os require less than 300 square millimeters (.5 square
inch) for vertical orientation while 80 I/Os with a right-angle orientation
requires only 260 square millimeters (.4 square inch) of board area.
