High Speed Edge Rate™ Interfaces – ERM8/ERF8 & ERM5/ERF5 |
 High
Speed Edge Rate™ interconnect
line features rugged Edge Rate™ contacts on a .8mm
(.0315") pitch board level system. The
ERM8/ERF8
Series terminals and sockets offer up to 150 I/Os in single-ended
or differential pair configurations with a standard choice of 10
to 75 positions per row (dependant on orientation). They are also
available in stack heights from 7mm to 16mm and in right angle (ERM8-RA/ERF8-RA)
and edge mount (ERM8-EM/ERF8-EM)
configurations.
The
ERM5/ERF5
.5mm (.0197”) pitch version offers two
stacking
heights (7mm and 10mm) and is available with 20 to 100 I/Os. All
are ideal for rugged and harsh environments, robust zippered
unmating and feature an optional rugged metal latching system. |

Eye Speed® - EPLSP/ERI8 |
Eye
Speed®
is a rugged, small form factor, cost effective high speed I/O
connector and cable system. The
EPLSP and
ERI8 Series system supports performance specs to meet a
variety of protocols and standards including PCI Express,
HyperTransport, and InfiniBand. Samtec’s Eye Speed® system comes
standard with 32 AWG low skew pair, 100 Ohm controlled impedance
cable, a tight 25mm bend radius, positive latching system, and it
saves PCB real estate versus comparable external PCIe cable
assemblies.

Floating Contact System - FT5/FS5 |
Samtec has introduced a new .5mm (.0197”) micro pitch interconnect
set ideal for multi connector board-to-board applications facing
potential misalignment issues. With a floating contact system that
provides .5mm of float in the X and Y directions, the
FT5/FS5
Series can absorb location errors during mounting of the
connectors on the PCB.

SEARAY™ – SEAM-RA/SEAM-RA & SEAM8/SEAF8 |
|
Right
Angle SEARAY™ connectors are available in female (SEAF-RA)
and male (SEAM-RA)
versions. These high density, open pin field arrays are available
on .050” (1,27mm) pitch with up to 300 I/Os. They come in four
and six row configurations and the sockets feature our rugged Edge
Rate™ contacts. Guide post and latching post options allow for
blind mating and increase robustness of the connector system.
High pin counts and rugged features also make these right angle
connectors ideal for micro backplane applications.
SEARAY™ Open Pin Field Interconnects are now available on .8mm
(.0315”) pitch. The
SEAM8/SEAF8
Series terminal and sockets offer up to 180 I/Os in a grid array
for maximum grounding and routing flexibility. These interconnects
feature Samtec’s Rugged Edge Rate™ contact system that are less
prone to damage when “zippered” to unmate. They are also available
with a choice of 7mm or 10mm stack heights.

IsoRate® Jacks and Plugs – IJ5/IP5 & IJ5C |
|
Samtec’s
IsoRate® isolated transmission line jacks and plugs (IJ5/IP5)
are available in a 50 Ohm system on 4mm centerline. This
board-to-board system provides 70dB isolation at 7.6 GHz and comes
available in single and double row. A 75 Ohm version is in
development.

systems with rectangular plugs and receptacles available for

.8mm (.0315") pitch right angle Edge Rate™ Dual Stack Edge Card
Socket (DSEC
Series) is a new high speed edge card
socket that accepts two
.062" (1.6mm) thick PCB
cards at an industry standard 7mm (.276")
spacing between cards. It is
available with 30, 40 or 50
Edge Rate™ contacts per row. This
rugged contact system is optimized for superior signal integrity
and impedance control, high cycles, reduced broadside coupling,
and low insertion/withdrawal force. |

completely custom cable assembly with a standard lead time and
price. Choose among our most popular standard connectors including
Q2™, Q Series®, Edge Rate™, and standard and micro pitch strips,

connector gender, orientation, or number
 of positions. Most orders
ship in a week without artwork or Nonrecurring Engineering Charges
(NREs) with initial costs around $2000. A flex cable version is
currently available while a high speed cable version is in BETA
testing. Sealed I/O and RF versions are currently in development.
