 February 2, 2010 - The
Samtec’s BullsEye™
test point system was named the DesignVision winner at DesignCon2010.
The BullsEye™ is a
high-density, high-performance, low-cost solution that eliminates the
need for expensive RF connectors on production boards. At .120"
spacing, this ganged solution is denser than GPPOs, conserving board
real estate and allowing shorter breakout traces.
By
eliminating one electrical transition, BullsEye™
improves performance and lowers costs.
 Return loss is better than
-30dB to 15GHz through the breakout region. These board-mount
connectors are 10 percent of the cost of a SMAtype RF connector, and
are available in a variety of configurations, including a single
position using the same footprint as a traditional SMA.
