On December 19, four Samtec associates and a chain saw helped clear the main path at the Loop Islands Wetlands of trees blown over in September. Strong winds from Hurricane Ike created several blockages along the trails. This privately owned, environmentally and historically significant property is a focal point of Samtec’s environmental community involvement. This area will also become more notable in the near future, as the Ohio River Greenway follows an old railway bed on the North edge of the site.
