Samtec has been named a member of the Indiana Environmental Stewardship program. In order to be named an Indiana Environmental Steward, a business must demonstrate the following: 

• An Environmental Management System that is implemented in both long term and day-to-day business activities
• Demonstrations of and commitments to waste reduction and recycling
• Demonstrations of and commitments to air and water pollution reduction/elimination
• Commitment to reduced dependence on non-renewable energy sources
• Community involvement and willingness to discuss concerns and issues to promote better environmental practices
