Samtec recently completed a .5 mile walking trail on wooded property adjacent to the Corporate Headquarter in New Albany, Indiana. The 14 acres are available to associates to walk and relax as the trail winds around four small lakes and a small wetland that was formerly a lake.
Wildlife is abundant. Wild Turkey, Blue Heron, Canadian Geese, and Deer traverse the property and there are resident Beavers who keep the lake levels high enough for their family’s habitat.
A local Scout Troop helps keep the “park” clean by conducting trash pick-ups throughout the year. This spring, they will be planting trees to enhance the wetland areas and provide food and cover for the wildlife. |
