Samtec Introduces Data Bank™ High Density Cable System

Samtec has recently expanded its High Speed Data Rate Cable family to include the new Data Bank™ High Speed, High Density Cable System designed for applications requiring very high density and superior signal integrity.

Data Bank™ (GCCA/GCAM Series) is a 100 Ohm Differential Pair 30 AWG Eyespeed™ MS twinax ribbon cable system.  It features Samtec’s rugged Edge Rate contacts and “Direct-to-Lead” cable termination technology for optimized signal integrity.

Data Bank™ is available with 1 or 2 banks each with four chicklets containing 8 signal pairs each for a total of 32 or 64 pairs.  The system is available in surface mount or panel mount orientations are with socket or terminal end connector options.  Mounting blocks, right angle applications, and mating surface mount terminals (GCAM Series) are also available.

Additional features include bank holders with finger actuated locking clips, combination Guide Pin/Locking Posts that solder to the PCB, and a tool for repositioning the chicklets.  Single-ended and power systems are currently in design.
