Samtec has published a new Design Guide for its line of flex circuit interconnects. Capabilities range from standard and high speed data links to completetly custom circuits populated with traditional Samtec connectors.
Current custom capabilities include single and double-sided circuits and multi-layer circuits. Maximum panel size is 12” x 18” (300mm x 450mm) with tin, hard gold, nickel or HAL solder finishes. Presently Samtec offers 3mil line width/spaces. Shielding is also available to limit EMI & ESI. A variety of stiffeners may be added to reinforce the circuit for use with customer-added or Samtec provided interconnects.

Standard High Speed Data Links (HFEM Series) are available with a choice of shielded flex cable lengths and may be terminated with single-ended or differential pair connectors.
“Paper doll” samples (e-files representing the form and fit of the design) are available within 24 to 48 hours. Samples ship within 5 days of design/layout approval.
