Field Replaceable Mod Jack Introduced by Samtec

Samtec has released its new patent pending LifeJack™ Modular Jack with end-user replaceable contacts for nearly an unlimited number of cycles in high cycle applications.  Additionally, damaged contacts are easily replaced in the field without having to send the instrument back to the factory or incur excessive customer down-time.

The compression style contacts are easily replaced without desoldering the connector or opening the box.  As an added benefit, the pinout is in a true serial in-line format for easier board routing and higher signal integrity.

Samtec’s line of I/O interfaces also includes popular standard Mod Jacks and standard and high extraction force Universal Serial Bus (USB) interfaces.  In addition, Samtec has panel-to-panel systems for high speed (Data Rate I/O) and rugged (Acclimate™ sealed circular I/O) applications as well as conventional VHDCI and HDMI applications.
