Discrete Wire Cable System Offers High Power
Performance in Small Package

Samtec’s latest high performance power interconnect
solution is a robust discrete wire cable system ideal for
space-limited applications. The PowerStrip™/15 Cable
Assembly (MPSS
Series) is available with 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 dual leaf blade
contacts on a narrow 5,00mm (.197”) centerline. When mated
with Samtec’s PowerStrip™/25 High Power Terminals (MPT
Series), the system has a current carrying capacity of
14.4A per contact at 30°C Temperature Rise (with 8
positions powered and 14 AWG cable). |
The PowerStrip™/15 Discrete Wire Cable System is available
in double or single-ended assemblies with 14 or 16 AWG
discrete wire coax cable and a choice of assembled
lengths. It also features a positive latching system for
increased unmating force and polarized guide posts that
allow for blind mating making it ideal for rugged or other
harsh environments.
Samtec’s PowerStrip™ interconnect family is designed to
meet a variety of high current applications and includes
three product levels differentiated by size and power
output: PowerStrip™/35, PowerStrip™/25 and PowerStrip™/15.
In addition to the discrete wire assembly, power and
power/signal combinations in right angle and vertical
orientations for board level applications, as well as a
hinged system, are also available. |
