Samtec adds High Retention USB Interfaces to Panel & I/O Product Line

Samtec has announced the addition of high retention Type A and Type B USB interfaces (USBR Series) that comply with the Class 1, DIV II minimum withdrawal requirement of 15 Newtons.  These new USBR Series connectors have an orange color-coded insulator to differentiate them from standard withdrawal force connectors available from Samtec (USB Series) with white or black plastic.

These high retention USB connectors are available in surface mount and through-hole designs with a choice of standard right angle or vertical top-entry orientation.  In addition to A and B Type connectors, Samtec also carries a full line of mini USB interfaces, standard and custom cable assemblies, and rugged AccliMate™ IP68 sealed circular USB interfaces.

Samtec’s other Rugged Panel & I/O interfaces include Mod Jacks with field replaceable contact arrays, HDMI cable and connector solutions, and AccliMate™ IP68 sealed circular Ethernet, power, RF, and micro pitch interfaces.
