Samtec defines a lead-free product as a product free of intentionally added lead (Pb).
It is important to note that a micro-analytical analysis of some Samtec products labeled as "lead-free" might reveal near trace quantities of unintentionally added lead and/or cadmium. The unintentionally added quantities potentially found would be well within the proposed limits of the European Union WEEE and RoHS Directives.
