Samtec defines a lead-free product as a product free of intentionally
added lead (Pb).
It is important to note that a micro-analytical analysis of some Samtec products
labeled as "lead-free" might reveal near trace quantities of unintentionally
added lead and/or cadmium. The unintentionally added quantities potentially found
would be well within the proposed limits of the European Union WEEE and RoHS Directives.

Due to the new lead free requirments
of Europe and Asia, Samtec is now able to supply lead-free tin plating for all lead-free
processes using Matte Tin plating. The list below contains test reports for specific
products using Matte Tin plating instead of Samtec's standard tin plating.
